Berlin-based Moayedi Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH has just acquired a majority stake in a real estate company that owns four office properties in Potsdam. The portfolio was built up by Moayedi Beteiligungsgesellschaft. The seller of the shares is a German family office, which is one of Moayedi’s long-standing investment partners.
The four properties have a total of around 13,000 m² of office space. Three of the properties are located in Babelsberg in the immediate vicinity of the renowned Babelsberg Film Studio. The fourth property is located in Jägervorstadt in the listed building of the former Werner-Alfred-Bad, which is now also home to a health center. All four office spaces are leased on a long-term basis. To upgrade the properties and create further optimized conditions for tenants, CEO Sascha Moayedi is planning a series of measures, including in the ESG area. For example, the Babelsberg properties are to be connected to the district heating network and photovoltaic systems or green areas are planned for flat roofs. Moayedi Investments GmbH will be responsible for the asset management of the properties.
Sascha Moayedi on the transaction: “We would like to thank our previous partner for the many years of cooperation and will continue to be associated with further joint investments in the future. For Moayedi Beteiligungsgesellschaft, the acquisition of the portfolio represents a further step towards growth. Our portfolio of office properties in Potsdam has thus increased to 15,000 m². Further acquisitions are planned until the end of the year. Particularly in the current market situation, it is important for us to be active rather than hesitant. We see many opportunities to expand our portfolio in Potsdam and are confident about the future.”
