The year was extraordinarily eventful and challenging for us. We accepted this challenge and were able to grow both as a team and in terms of our assets and make some progress.
Our property in Schlaatzweg in Potsdam was successfully refinanced. Thanks to our asset management services and the great support of our Kubon property management company, we were able to let all vacancies to new tenants on a long-term basis. We are particularly pleased that our anchor tenants are continuing to use the 650 m² of office space and want to grow at the location. We are proud to announce: Our entire portfolio in Potsdam with around 15,000 m² of office space is fully let.
Another milestone was the construction of a photovoltaic system – a comprehensive and important ESG measure. This was our first active presence at REA24, the Real Estate Arena 2024.
We were also able to implement a number of sustainability issues in Schwarzwurzelstrasse. Combined with various refurbishment measures and a modernization of the building technology, the attractiveness of the facility was significantly increased and rewarded with full occupancy.
We recorded a slight increase in demand for owner-occupied apartments. Several units in our privatization properties in Steglitz and Pankow were successfully sold. The refurbishments in Neukölln’s Ringbahnstrasse are also showing visible progress.
Away from day-to-day business, our 8th Private Real Estate Dinner 2024 was a complete success and raised a record donation. We were able to experience sporting highlights on the tennis court, as co-sponsor of the ecotrans Ladies Open and together with tennis idol Roger Federer, and on the running track of the Berlin Marathon. Björn Schulz once again delivered a great performance and raised a large sum of money for the Björn Schulz Foundation. 🏃♂️
We are taking this energy with us and are looking positively and motivated into the new year. What are our plans? We will only reveal our plans bit by bit – but this much can be teased: ESG, IT and our team play the main roles.
We are looking forward to what 2025 has in store for us!
